W.I.T.C.H.: Defenders of the Five Realms is an upcoming American/Japan anime television series, based on the Italian comics of the same name by Elisabetta Gnone, Alessandro Barbucci and Barbara Canepa. It is the sequel to W.I.T.C.H. but it will be featured in anime. The series features the girls in their 20's rather than teenagers. Premiered on February 4, 2012 on JetixRestored.

Development Edit

Due for renewal after last series, a new series that won't be developed through SIP Animation, France 3 or France Television instead it will be a Right Stuf Network anime series. American writer Meghan McCarthy (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) will co-create the new series with Jayson Thiessen. JetixRestored will produce the series in co-production with Bad Angels Productions in America and animation from Splash Entertainment, McCarthy and Thiessen will executive produce the show with Kirsten Newlands, Mike Young, Blair Peters and Chris Bartleman. Time to sequel add anime series will be perfect form.

However it will air on JetixRestored in America/Japan since Toon Disney shut down in 2009. JetixRestored and Right Stuf Network working together with Animax as completed learn beign new anime series.

Greg Cipes and Candi Milo reprise their respective roles as Caleb and Irma, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Danielle Judovits and Andrea Libman were cast as Taranee, Cornelia and Hay Lin, while Supergirl's Melissa Benoist replaces Kelly Stables as Will.

Game of Thrones star Jack Gleeson will voice Prince Gheraldo Baratheon.
